  • Role Overview

    The PMO is responsible for the establishment and continuous execution of governance and the generation of data analytics to demonstrate business effectiveness and opportunities for improvement. The purpose is to support transparency and document the delivery effectiveness of Endpoint services and support controlled change management which should deliver measurable benefit to the business. This office provides oversight of the business, programmes undertaken, and services transitioned to business as usual , as well as being responsible for generating demand vs capacity analyticsand making recommendations for structuring the business. This office generates and publishes regular performance metrics to provide centralised oversight effectiveness across the business and holds the responsibility for effectively configuring Workfront to support the business as it evolves.


    This role is to manage the PMO team to deliver: governance and accountability for services and processes across the Endpoint Solutions. Endpoint Solutions governance includes, managing change processes, governance for service delivery, operational tools. The team are responsible for oversight of Endpoint through continuous and regular measurement and is responsible for all data service for Endpoint Solutions.


    Typically, the PMO both oversee programs for improvement and provide metrics that affect across Endpoint Solutions. The PMO are the source for analytics and reports across the 11 Centres of Excellence, and support Endpoint Delivery indicators by coordinating regular report compilation based on quality, cost and effort. This also includes monitoring short term, and mid-term resource projection model to provide the business with a view of current operating capacity and capability to meet near-term demand. This team is also responsible for the evaluation of presales demand against capacity and monitoring the impact of the Demand template and Project template models against utilisation, capacity and profitability, enabling the business to react to demand more effectively.


    This office, alongside the rest of the BMO functions, will be relied upon to help drive many of the integration and efficiency business change, and new product introduction projects, and the PMO is to be the principle BMO function for driving continuous improvement through updates to Workfront processes.

    Key Accountabilities/Decision Making & Influence

    1. Manage the PMO team with defined measurable goals, roles and responsibilities and promote the Programme Management Office and associated best practice within the Endpoint Solutions organisation
    2. Develop and drive the governance methodology, disciplines and processes including document templates, reporting and planning information for successful service delivery. Drive this through the PMO team, across the BMO and Endpoint Solutions, as appropriate. Use this governance framework to ensure programmes deliver benefits aligned to strategic outcomes.
    3. Provide governance and oversight of the progress of projects and services managed across the BMO, as well as pending projects and facilitate coordinating governance and steering management for operational tools adopted into Endpoint and across the organisation as appropriate.
    4. Work cross-functionally to define and refine Resource and Demand models and implementation plan, including a Charter, Business Case, Requirements, Work Breakdown Structure, and Implementation Timeline
    5. Through the governance structures, be responsible for maintaining an oversight of all course correction and change programmes being managed across Endpoint Solutions and within the BMO, providing reports for Exec, Department Heads and Managers giving updates on current initiatives and for future projects that have been submitted for evaluation, as appropriate.
    6. Manage and structure comms; provide and maintain central reference location for programmes and governance.
    7. Critically assess the outputs of the resource projection model against measurable performance objectives for near and mid-term forecasts based
    8. Provide executive and detailed business indicator reports and presentation through the coordination of data collection, liaising with the Centre of Excellences contributing to the report and measuring the quality of the underpinning data through compliance management via BMO teams.

    Provide PMO support and problem management for cross-CoE incidents and leadership initiatives.

    Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

    1. At least 5 years of experience of establishing and managing a PMO or running strategic Programmes in a fast-paced industry (eg SaaS) with a proven track record of project / programme delivery
    2. Experience of formal project management methodologies, Prince2, LSS, MSP
    3. Demonstrable experience of setting up and managing governance structures over several years.
    4. At least 5 years’ experience of rolling out new software systems and services in a corporate environment, including Workfront and Jira.
    5. Confident user of MS Office packages, ideally with Visio and Project
    6. Demonstrate a good understanding of the service delivery world
    7. Strong stakeholder management, engagement and influencing skills
    8. Experience driving results (and managing / developing teams who are accountable to drive results) in a matrix organisation
    9. At least 5 years management and leadership experience.
