  • Role Overview

    We are an established and growing leader within the pharmaceutical industry in providing software solutions for managing clinical trial supplies. We have a unique opportunity for a Cloud Deployment Manager for the SmartSupplies products within Signant Health. We are looking for the right person to join our growing and collaborative team.


    You will play a key role in the growth of the SmartSupplies product and business via contributions in the following capacities:


    • Serve as the technical lead on client implementations of our enterprise SmartSupplies product working closely with client personnel to facilitate the preparation, deployment, and support of the product on AWS.
    • Liaise and build relationships within both Signant Health and client personnel to facilitate the implementation and ongoing client support of the SmartSupplies product on AWS.
    • Work with Signant Health’s Commercial organization as a technical SME to support SmartSupplies business development opportunities.

    Utilize Signant Health’s policies and SOPs to ensure SmartSupplies solutions meet regulatory, validation, performance and other company requirements.

    Key Accountabilities/Decision Making & Influence

    • Work with potential new clients to solicit and evaluate requirements for system sizing based on project scope. Work with Signant IT resources to determine appropriate AWS architecture for optimal system infrastructure and performance.
    • Educate potential and new clients on the experience of a SmartSupplies implementation, e.g. setting expectations, fielding FAQ’s, etc.
    • Develop and execute project plans for the technical aspects of new client implementations, including the creation, configuration management, and deployment of Dev, Val, and Prod environments.
    • Work with client and Signant Health personnel to drive resolution of any technical issues arising during implementation and post go-live.
    • Assist Signant Health IT organization in the monitoring of the SmartSupplies application and infrastructure for clients during implementation and post go-live.       Identify any weaknesses or opportunities to improve performance.
    • Implement configuration management for client development, test, and production environments.
    • Implement and maintain change management control procedures and processes for client development, validation, and production environments.
    • Take ownership of the technical approach for SmartSupplies client implementations, including the creation of standards and policies governing the preparation, deployment, and support of the product on AWS.  Over time, develop a team of technical consultants to facilitate all standard technical implementation activities to enable more strategic focus on the SmartSupplies product and business, including support for business development activities for new client opportunities.

    Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent experience
    • 5+ years of experience in a vendor / client service role supporting the implementation of enterprise cloud software solutions (AWS preferred)
    • Experience working with GxP or other industry-regulated solutions
    • Middleware experience with Weblogic, Websphere, and/or Tomcat
    • Database experience with Oracle and/or MySQL
    • Ability to analyze, translate, and present technical issues to business leaders for effective decision making
    • High ownership quotient and ability to drive activities to completion in a timely manner
    • Strong attention to detail, communication, decision making, and organizational skills
    • Ability to travel within US for several business days at a time, and internationally, especially to the EU, for up to a week at a time
